So, now that you've been here a week, what've been the things that surprised you the most about life at WVU? Are there things you wish you'd known before you left home and moved here? What would you do differently? Or, what has been unexpectedly good about WVU?

Being here this past week has definitely changed my outlook on college. I definitely like the idea of college for more than just the social life and freedom. I like the classes I'm taking. It's so different than high school. My major classes are great, I'm so glad I'm a communications major because taking the classes made me realize that this is what i want to do.

After being here a week I can truly say I love this place. I love the atmosphere around the campus and the pride the school has. You can't walk anywhere without seeing atleast 10 people with WVU attire on. It's such a culture change though from Jersey but I love every minute of it! :)
I am from a really really really small high school in Baltimore, where everyone knew everyone. Coming to WVU was horrifying to me at first. Once I got here I started to get home sick and then one day I just started to feel a lot better. I love the feeling of walking around campus and seeing everyone with some kind of clothing that has the WV symbol on it. I am so excited to actually go to a game and see what it is like.

I lived pretty close to WVU. I have been in Morgantown a lot and kinda knew what to expect. I went to my first WVU game here last year I think thats what truly made me decide to go to school here it was so much fun and really easy to talk to the people around you. I was afraid I would't be able to find classes and be alone in huge classes but everybody is so nice and easy to get along with. Its sort of like we are all in the same boat. The teachers and staff are all very helpful, Even before school started a friend and I had gotten confused and went to the wrong building a staff member in the Scholarship department walked us to the door that would be best to go out and showed us exactly where to go It made me feel like I would be okay up here and could easily get help. :)
